Ziua Mondiala a Protectiei Animalelor de Laborator
Ziua mondiala a protectiei animalelor de laborator este marcata anual la 24 aprilie, fiind stabilita, in 1979, de catre Societatea Nationala Anti-Vivisectie din Marea Britanie (NAVS). Ziua de 24 aprilie reprezinta data nasterii fostului presedinte al NAVS Lord Dowding (24 aprilie 1882), infocat aparator al drepturilor animalelor si militant impotriva vivisectiei.
