24 martie 1818
Prima scoala cu predare in limba romana

La 24 martie 1818 Gheorghe Lazar a fost numit "dascal" de aritmetica, geometrie si geografie la Scoala de la "Sfantul Sava", unde a inaugurat cursurile in limba romana. Gheorghe Lazar a fost un pedagog, teolog, traducator si inginer roman, considerat fondatorul invatamantului in limba romana din Tara Romaneasca.
